File preview enhancementsWe're introducing a significant enhancement to the native File preview experience across the platform. This update is aimed at improving readability, usability, and consistency in how files are previewed—whether accessed via content attachments, search results, feeds, or within sites. The following items are not yet updated to the new UI design and will continue to appear in the old design. These will be addressed in an upcoming release:

Multilingual Alert supportAlerts now support fully localized authoring. This will help your org meet Bill 96 and other multilingual mandates. You can add, auto‑translate, and manually refine multiple language variants (including your profile language as the default) while creating or editing an alert. The new tabbed editor pre‑populates additional languages via Google Translate, lets you convert any auto text to manual in one click, and provides a real‑time preview of each variant. Existing alert delivery, scheduling, and analytics remain unchanged; no action required. |
License usage banners: 90%, 95%, 99%Proactive low-license alerts are now built in for app managers to see. When utilization reaches defined thresholds, an on-screen banner appears for app managers in the same spot as “What’s New,” and remains visible until they dismiss it. The alert fires automatically at 90%, 95%, and 99% license use (these values aren’t configurable). Each threshold triggers just once per breach and will fire again only if that level is reached later. |
Integrations |
Dynamic parameter binding for API actionsWe’ve introduced powerful enhancements to API Action configurations, giving app managers more flexibility and automation when setting up integrations.
These improvements simplify setup, reduce friction, and make API-based workflows more reliable and scalable. |
Create incident tile with dynamic form capabilities in ServiceNowThe Create incident tile now renders its form at runtime based on the exact view you pick from ServiceNow:

Conditional rendering of custom app tile componentsCustom app tiles can now show or hide individual blocks at runtime via no-code visibility rules. In the Tile builder, you can attach a small helper function (with safe date, comparison, and path utilities) that evaluates against:
Blocks render only when the rule returns true, enabling adaptive, context-aware dashboards without custom development. |
Analytics |
Custom perception themesApp managers can now create custom perception themes in addition to the existing default options. This enhancement gives managers greater flexibility to track user sentiment in response to specific events, announcements, or polls. Custom themes help gather more targeted feedback and can be deleted once they are no longer relevant, keeping sentiment tracking organized and purposeful. This update builds on the existing perception themes feature to offer more control and relevance in capturing employee insights. |
Special features |
Enterprise search enhancementsExact matchTo enhance relevance for searches, keyword exact matching is now supported, in addition to semantic search. Q&A support Smart answers will now search discussions in the Questions & answers feature to pull in relevant results. Learn more about smart answers and Q&A |
Recognition and rewards enhancementsEdit recognition posts with points Users (the original point giver) and Recognition managers can now edit recognition posts with points gifted. In the first 24 hours when points are pending, they can adjust users who received the recognition as well as change point amounts. Note: The original giver must have enough points to give more or add people if they plan to edit. Delete awards Awards can now be deleted on a global level, removing all given instances and the award from the Recognition manager menu. |
Employee newsletter enhancementsAlways visible primary actions on a modal (Window) The Template selection window in the Newsletter creation flow now features improved placement of the Cancel and Next buttons. These primary actions are always visible on screen, even when scrolling, making the process smoother and more intuitive. Previously, users had to scroll down just to access these buttons. This update enhances usability and speeds up the workflow. Similar improvements will be extended to other modals in the Newsletter experience in future updates. SMS removed as a distribution option when disabled To ensure clarity and consistency, SMS will no longer appear as a distribution option for Newsletters if SMS notifications are turned off at the app level. When the setting under Manage > Application > Setup > SMS notifications is disabled, users will not see SMS as a selectable channel. This helps prevent confusion and aligns available options with your organization’s configured settings. Additional security for external link redirection Users will now see a warning message when clicking on a link in a newsletter that redirects to a website outside the intranet domain. This added layer of security helps users verify external URLs before proceeding, promoting safer browsing and reducing the risk of unintentional redirection to untrusted sites. This helps align survey emails with company branding, improving deliverability and trust, particularly in security conscious environments where generic system addresses may trigger warnings or be flagged by internal IT systems. To set up a custom sender email:
Learn more about Employee listening ExtensibilityWe have updated the placement of extensibility capabilities for B2B system to system APIs to make them easier to find and use. Along with this change, we have introduced several new APIs to support advanced custom workflows and integrations. These APIs allow you to grant external clients or partners secure, token based access to Simpplr APIs, enabling seamless data exchange and system integration without compromising security. Learn more about extensibility center updates MobileMobile app nudge on mobile browserTo improve mobile-first and frontline user experience, Simpplr now gently nudges users accessing the platform via a mobile browser to switch to the mobile app if their organization has a mobile app URL (public, native, or unlisted) and mobile access is enabled. This helps users easily discover and transition to a more seamless and engaging experience on mobile. Organizations using Mobile Device Management (MDM), Apple Business Manager (ABM), or Mobile Application Management (MAM) for app distribution or those that haven’t enabled mobile access will not see this nudge. Learn more about Mobile app nudge on mobile browser Do not disturb (DND) and app restrictions outside working hoursApp managers can now automatically limit notifications and restrict app access outside defined working hours, either set manually or synced with UKG Pro WFM. This helps reduce distractions and support compliance, especially for frontline heavy organizations. You can apply these rules organization wide or target specific audiences, with flexible options to either display a warning or block access entirely. This feature simplifies time based compliance and eliminates the need for manual workflows. |
