How do I create and send alerts?

With the right permissions, you can create an alert to make a quick announcement that show up at the top of Simpplr for everyone to see.

To access Alerts, head to Manage features > Alerts.

  1. Choose the target audience to send your alert to.

  • If you want the link become clickable, check the Make alert message a link, then enter a url.
  • Optionally, you can chose to translate the alert for your audiences who have different profile languages. Translations can be automatic, powered by Google Translate, or manual if you know what text needs to be put in. image (2).png
  • Select User can dismiss alert if you allow users click on the x to dismiss the alerts. If you don’t allow users to dismiss the alert, select Users cannot dismiss alert.
  • You can schedule the alert to display in the future by checking the Schedule date and time option.
  • If you want to display the alert right away, select Immediately.
  • Finally, choose the duration of the alert.aws alerts 2.png

External distribution

Users who have the Microsoft Teams integration enabled can send the alert directly to Teams as an instant message. Here you'll have the option to send the alert to recipients directly, as well as post in a Teams channel you have access to.

The alert will display in Teams, and will contain a link leading back to Simpplr.
