26.10 RN.pngAnalytics

Page analytics keep view history across site moves

Page analytics now keep view history when content moves between sites. Previously, moving a page reset its analytics to zero, which made long-published content look unseen. Lifetime unique viewers, total views, and average views per person now stay with the content through every move. When a page has lived in more than one site, a new site control lets you switch between All sites, the current site, or any previous site. Pages that have never moved keep the existing dashboard.

Lifetime counts include everyone who has viewed the page and show how many of those viewers are now inactive. Percentage metrics use the current site's audience and exclude people who have left the site. Public sites count Members, Followers, and Others, while private sites count Members only. Restricted content shows a lock that opens a list of the audiences who can view it. A date range filter is available in every view, and the current site view adds an audience role filter.

Who's this for: App managers, site managers, site owners, content authors, content creators

Governance widgets in site analytics

Site analytics now include a new set of governance KPI widgets and data export options to help keep sites healthy, active, and well governed. These metrics give you clear visibility into ownership health, content staleness, and structural hygiene without manual audits. New widgets cover site visibility, the number of owners and managers, content with inactive authors, files with inactive owners, content freshness and hygiene, carousel freshness, and uncategorized content. You can also resize the widget layout. Enhanced CSV reporting lets you export governance data, including detailed deep-dive exports.

Comms AI

Reminders for activities approaching their due date

Activity owners now get a reminder notification 24 hours before an activity's end date. The reminder arrives by email and in-app. If an activity doesn't have an assigned owner, the activity creator gets the reminder instead.
Who's this for: App managers, all members added to a Comms AI workspace with at least the Member role

Improved calendar view

The planner calendar views now fit all days of the month on the screen, so you no longer need to scroll to see the whole month. Activity cards stack within each date cell. Select a card to open a details pane with all relevant information.

Who's this for: App managers, all members added to a Comms AI workspace with at least the Member role

Improved list view

The planner list view is now more customizable. Drag a column header to reorder columns, so each user can set up the list view the way they want. You can also resize every column, including custom field columns, for better readability.

Content

Bulk content author change

You can now change the author for multiple content items at once. This makes it easier for content managers to reassign ownership efficiently.

Who's this for: Site managers, site owners, content managers, users with the manage site permission through ACG

Bulk file author change through extensibility center APIs

The new File Author Management extensibility center (EC) API lets administrators update file ownership individually, in bulk using a CSV, or across all files owned by a user. Bulk operations run asynchronously and include audit logging.

Who's this for: App managers

Custom summary for content

Authors can now choose how the short description under a page, event, or album title is created, in both the classic editor and Content Studio. People see this line in feeds, carousels, search, tiles, emails, and other places. When creating or editing content, authors can pick Use page content (default) to show an excerpt of up to the first 80 characters of the body, Generate with AI to have AI create the description, or Write custom to type their own. Readers see only the resulting line, not which option was used.

Who's this for: All users

Feed post pinning

App managers and users who can manage the home feed or a site feed can now pin important posts so they stay at the top of the feed instead of getting lost in the timeline. Pinning works on the home feed, site feeds, and the shared content feed, and each pin stays on the post's own feed. Choose 3 days (default), 7 days, or a custom end time of up to 15 days. Each feed can have up to 3 pinned posts, and employees see them in a Pinned posts block at the top of the feed.

New look and feel for the All sites page

The All sites page now uses the Simpplr Design System (SDS), which makes finding and managing sites clearer and faster. Employees land on the Featured tab, a card grid of sites that an app manager or site manager has highlighted. From there, they can switch tabs to browse. Member shows sites they belong to, Following shows sites they follow, My sites shows sites they own or manage through membership, Recently added shows the newest sites they can see, and Popular shows sites ordered by popularity. Each list shows the site name, description, category, and member count, with actions such as follow or leave.
App managers can add or update featured sites from a dialog on the Featured tab. Existing site membership, follow, and visibility rules stay the same. Only the look and layout are new.

Integrations & extensibility

Performance optimization for mobile app tiles

Mobile app tiles now load much faster and more reliably, even on slow networks. Load times are more than 3x faster, so tiles appear almost instantly instead of stalling or timing out. The app also does less work behind the scenes at startup, which means less data usage and a smoother experience overall. No action is needed. Everything works exactly as before, just faster.

Who's this for: All users

App tile audience reach count

Building on audience-based widget visibility, admins configuring an app tile can now see an estimated reach count of how many users will be able to see it. The count comes from the intersection of layout and connector audiences. This helps admins understand who a widget will reach before publishing, without manually cross-referencing audience settings. Counts are calculated on demand and refresh automatically whenever relevant audience settings change.

Platform

Refreshed My Settings experience

My Settings now has a refreshed look across Notifications, Password, and Security, with updated layouts, styling, and UI elements for a cleaner, more consistent experience. The refresh makes personal settings easier to navigate and manage, and all existing functionality stays the same.

Employee newsletter

Send newsletter follow-up to unreached recipients

Use a follow-up to reach recipients who haven’t yet been reached by an important newsletter, without creating another newsletter or rebuilding the audience.

A follow-up uses the content of the original newsletter and automatically identifies eligible recipients from the original audience.

Who receives the follow-up?

A recipient is eligible for the follow-up if they:

  • Were part of the original newsletter audience.

  • Haven’t been reached by the newsletter through any supported distribution channel.

  • Are still eligible to receive the newsletter when the follow-up is sent.

If a recipient has already been reached through one supported channel, they won’t receive the follow-up through another channel.

Eligibility is checked again immediately before the follow-up is sent. Because of this, the number of eligible recipients may change between setting up the follow-up and sending it.

A follow-up can only be sent to recipients who were part of the original newsletter audience.

Send a follow-up

You can send a follow-up from the Newsletter listing or Newsletter Analytics.

  1. Select Send follow-up for the newsletter.

  2. Review the estimated number of eligible recipients.

  3. Review or update the subject line. If the newsletter has multiple language versions, you can update the supported subject-line translations.

  4. Choose the distribution channels. Channels used for the original newsletter are selected by default.

  5. Send the follow-up immediately or schedule it for later.

Changing the distribution channels changes how eligible recipients receive the follow-up. It doesn’t change who is eligible to receive it.

The content of the original newsletter can’t be edited as part of the follow-up.

When can you send a follow-up?

You can send one successful follow-up for each newsletter.

The Send follow-up option becomes available 24 hours after the original newsletter is sent and remains available for up to 30 days after the original send.

You can’t send a follow-up if:

  • Fewer than 24 hours have passed since the original send.

  • More than 30 days have passed since the original send.

  • There are no eligible recipients.

  • A follow-up has already been successfully sent for the newsletter.

If you schedule a follow-up, you can view or cancel it before it’s sent. If you cancel it, you can set up another follow-up as long as the newsletter is still within the 30-day follow-up period.

View follow-up performance

The original send and follow-up remain part of the same newsletter.

In Newsletter Analytics, you can view performance for:

  • All sends

  • Original

  • Follow-up

Overall newsletter metrics avoid counting the same recipient more than once across the original send and follow-up.

Who's this for: Newsletter managers, end users

Employee listening

Configure participant attributes for survey CSV exports

You can now choose which participant attributes to include in CSV exports for each survey. This lets you include only the attributes relevant to your reporting needs while keeping the survey's confidentiality protections in place.

When configuring a survey, choose which supported participant attributes to include as columns in CSV exports. Available attributes can include location, department, manager, division, and supported custom user attributes. Attributes you don't select won't appear in newly generated CSV exports. Your selection affects CSV exports only. It doesn't change the participant attributes available in Survey Analytics, results filters, heatmaps, segment views, shared reports, or AI Insights.

You can change the participant attributes while the survey is in Draft. Once the survey becomes Active, the selection locks and can't be changed, and it stays locked after the survey is completed. Locking the selection protects participant confidentiality by making sure different exports of the same survey can't be combined to reveal additional demographic information.
Existing confidentiality protections continue to apply to the attributes you include. Excluded attributes don't appear as columns in the export and don't independently cause data for the included attributes to be suppressed. The configuration applies to newly generated exports only. It doesn't affect CSV files that were previously generated or downloaded.

Who's this for: App managers, survey creators and managers

Improved CSV downloads for large surveys

How a CSV export is generated now depends on the number of records being exported. Exports with 1,000 responses or fewer generate and download directly to your device. For exports with more than 1,000 responses, Simpplr generates the CSV in the background, so you can keep working in Simpplr while the export is prepared. When the file is ready, you get an in-app notification with access to download it. The file stays available in the in-app notification section, so you can download it later if needed. Generating larger exports in the background helps CSV exports complete reliably without you keeping the download request open.

Who's this for: App managers, survey creators and managers

Frontline + Native messaging

Custom group icons in Messaging

Messaging groups can now have custom icons for a more recognizable identity. Group creators and admins can add, update, or remove an icon using a team logo, project image, or group photo. This makes groups easier to identify at a glance and helps employees quickly find the right conversation. Custom icons appear throughout Messaging, including search results, and private groups stay clearly identifiable with a lock indicator.

Who's this for: Group creators, group admins

Recognition & Rewards

Migrated budgets and one-time negative balances

This update applies to customers who have purchased Recognition & Rewards. In the legacy system, budgets could exceed their assigned limits and go into negative balances. To keep accounting and reporting exact, historical spend and balances were migrated as-is in a one-time migration.
Any migrated budget with a negative balance appears in Depleted status, and gifting with points is temporarily paused for linked recognition programs. To make funds available for gifting again, update the budget's target spend to offset the negative balance.
The new platform enforces strict real-time budget guardrails, so a budget balance can never go negative again. Gifting stops automatically as soon as a budget reaches $0.00.

Who's this for: App managers, recognition managers, all users

Native video

Configurable native video file downloads

This release adds administrative control over native video file downloads across the platform. Application administrators can toggle permissions to allow or restrict users from downloading native video assets directly from the file preview modal. The enhancement spans application governance settings, frontend UI controls, and backend API security validations.

Who's this for: All users, app managers

Native video upload limit increased from 2 GB to 6 GB

You can now upload native videos up to 6 GB, up from 2 GB. The 2 GB cap was set when 1080p was the practical ceiling for customer-generated video. Recording defaults have moved on. Phones, mirrorless cameras, and screen-capture tools now shoot 4K out of the box, so 2 GB holds a much shorter clip than it used to.

Who's this for: All users

Mobile app

Page subcategories on mobile

Page subcategories are now supported in the Simpplr mobile app, making it easier to browse and navigate site content through a more organized hierarchy. You can explore related content more efficiently with the same structured navigation available on desktop.

Who's this for: All users

Custom group icons in Messaging

Messaging groups on mobile can now use custom icons, making conversations easier to recognize at a glance. Group creators and admins can add, update, or remove group icons, and changes appear across the mobile Messaging experience.
