Improvements

Improvement
Alerts can now be sent to MS Teams channels. App managers can enable this option for specific sites in the Manage > Application > Integrations menu
Content authors can now choose the publish time of their content

The Manage > Application menu has several key updates to configuration and functionality, including:

  • SSO menu updates
  • A new tab for non-SSO user configuration (Simpplr IdP)
  • MFA option has been removed
  • Security questions setup no longer optional
  • SFTP is now available for provisioning and syncing users
  • CSV bulk upload user option has several enhancements
  • Login screens for non-SSO will feature company branding

Daily digest emails have been improved to show the following topics:

  • A change in a user's site role (i.e., if they're made a Site manager)
  • Survey reminders
  • Survey actions taken
  • New social campaigns that have been created
  • New requests for membership to the user's site(s)
  • Content the user authored has been shared
  • Another user is following the user
  • Someone has endorsed the user for an Expterise
  • Someone likes the user's post
  • Someone mentions the user in a post
  • A user has been recognized via Recognition Suite
  • A user's recognition has been shared
  • Someone commented on a user's post
  • Someone mentions the user in a reply
  • Someone replied to a post the user liked
  • Someone liked a user's reply
  • Someone replied to the user's recognition
  • Someone commented on a user's post with a file
  • Someone replied to a user's liked comment
  • Someone mentioned the user in a recognition
  • A site membership request has been approved/rejected
  • Someone liked the user's content
  • Auto-approved site membership
Search has been improved to include outbox pattern implementation. The outbox pattern is a design pattern that can be used to decouple event sourcing from event publishing. In this pattern, events are first stored in a separate database table called the outbox table. Then, a message queue is used to publish the events from the outbox table to a downstream system
Twitter icon in social links has been replaced with new "X" company icon
Org chart view has been updated to show clearer results of managers and direct reports

When users are setting up a custom domain, Simpplr now offers better feedback in the UI, including:

  • Post-activation steps
  • Clear info text: 'Click here'
  • Certificate validation button
  • Domain configuration refresh option to see if domain is configured
App managers can now edit user status from 'Pending activation' to 'Inactive' in the Manage > Users menu
CSV provisioning/syncing/deprovisioning enhancements
With Slack enabled, user profiles now display Slack handles so users can be easily reached
A Recognition hub has been added to all user menus for customers who have Recognition Suite enabled. The hub is where all users can manage their recognition activities. You can even give recognition here by clicking Give recognition.
App managers can now sync user data via the Merge.dev integration
A link to the Simpplr Help Center website has been added to user menus 

The Brand editor has made several improvements, including: 

  • A Company Corporate Palette, which allows Branding managers to add up to five primary/secondary colors for their branding
  • In the Color section of the Brand editor, the ability to choose a link color has been added

  • By default, the hyperlink color will be set to the brand's primary color

  • As a Branding manager, I can choose from customized hex colors with a color grid

  • A dark theme and light theme will be optional
  • Once I select a color, all hyperlinks on the page will update to reflect that color

  • When I click Save & close, the changes will apply to the entire application

  • Branding configurations are now applied to:

    • Enriched text editor within pages

    • Enriched text editor within Rich text tiles

    • Enriched text editor within Employee Newsletter

 

Mobile

Improvement
An option to 'Report an issue' with content has been added to pages, events, and albums on mobile so that users can easily submit feedback
Content authors of non-open albums can now add media to the album on mobile

Users in the people directory are not showing up in alphabetical order for last name when first name matches

Internal server error when connecting to MS Teams integration

The Activate and Edit buttons for Recognition awards are hidden in the scroll bar

Intermittent APIs failures with 503 status code, which also has significant contribution to blank page issues encountered during automation

Users logging in with Employee number are locked out

Missing images when user logs in

Customer received low license count email when plenty of licenses were available

User taken to home dashboard instead of link if they click on a link while signed out

  • Matthew Rawls I'm not sure what's there for ServiceNow integration and the important EVENTS-related feature improvements are missing - Events sync and events calendar view.
