How do I grant Support access to my intranet?

Overview

Granting access to the Support team can be done in just a few steps! Note, an application manager user must be the one to grant access on behalf of all intranet users. Standard users (non-app managers) cannot grant access from their own profiles.

To grant permissions:

  1. As the app manager, navigate to Manage > Users. Find the user's profile who you'd like to grant access to.
  2. Click the three dots next to the user's name and click Grant support access.image (73).png
  3. Choose the duration you want to allow Simpplr's support access to your environment. We recommend setting 1 week or 7 days to allow our team enough time to adequately handle the issue you're experiencing. Click Grant access.
  4. You can always come back and change this duration or revoke access by clicking Revoke access.

  • Is this the alternative to the Salesforce instructions here for Simpplr One? Salesforce: How do I grant Support access to my Simpplr intranet? – Simpplr

I'm an app manager, so in order to grant Simpplr support access when submitting a ticket, do I just go to my own name and follow the steps above? It's not super clear as it's written.

    Thanks!

  • On the SalesForce platform, we could grant this access in a "blanket" style, giving admin access to the entire support team. How is that supposed to work now?

  • Hi John. By granting Support access to an app manager's profile, you're effectively granting access to all users' profiles since our Support team will be able to perform any action you could as the app manager. So while there's no "blanket" way to grant access to all profiles at once, our support team can take the action going to Manage > Users and selecting any profile to "Grant support access" to, just like you can.
