Recognition analytics enhancements

Recognition analytics now include Spot and Recurring awards across every dashboard. A new award type filter lets you narrow results to a specific type, and a separate filter excludes deleted recognition from your reports. Several dashboard columns and fields now use standard recognition terminology.

Milestone awards aren't included yet. Support for them is planned for a later release.

Who's this for: App managers, analytics managers, recognition managers

Comms AI

Activity creation in Comms Agent (Beta)

Comms Agent previously created campaigns only. It now creates single-topic activities as well.

Comms team members also receive a reminder email one day before an activity end date, which gives them time to adjust the plan before the deadline passes. Reminders don't send if you turn the notification off in your notification controls.

Who's this for: Comms team members (App managers), and workspace members assigned to an activity

Email notification controls (Beta)

You can now choose which emails you receive from Comms AI. Controls cover workspace additions, workspace removals, approaching end dates, and activity assignments.

Who's this for: Comms team members (app managers)

Content

Page AI summary settings for sites and pages

You now have finer control over where AI summaries appear. Previously this was an app-level setting only. Three levels now work together:

  • App: AI Summary for content remains the master switch under AI controls.

  • Site: Site managers can enable Page AI summary for standard pages, must-read pages, or both.

  • Page: Authors can turn Generate AI summary on or off for an individual page, as long as the site setting allows it.

A summary appears only when the app, site, and page settings all allow it. When a higher-level setting is off, the options below it stay hidden and no summary generates or displays.

Who's this for: Manage: anyone with manage site permissions. Consume: all users.

Managing individual users on sites

Site owners and managers can now add specific people to their site's visibility without asking an administrator. Previously only app managers, or managers assigned through a role, could change this list.

If you manage a site through access control groups:

  • Where the setting allows it, you can add any individual person in the organization.

  • Where it doesn't, either because the setting is off or the site isn't one of the selected sites, nothing changes. You continue to add people from the audiences you manage, exactly as before.

How it works

Administrators decide where this is available. Under Manage Application > Setup > Governance > Site visibility, choose one of:

  • Allow for all sites: available on every site.

  • Manage per site: available only on the sites you select.

  • Do not allow: not available anywhere. This is the default.

On sites where it's available, an administrator turns on Allow individual user under Manage Site > Setup > Site visibility and subscriptions. Site owners and managers can then add or remove individual users themselves.

More people per site

Each site now supports up to 100 individual users, up from 30.

What site owners and managers see

  • Site audiences stay view-only. App managers or managers assigned through a role still control them.

  • The individual user list is editable, with a new browse option for searching and selecting people.

  • A message on the page confirms that individual people can still be added or removed even though audiences are locked.

Good to know

  • People added individually gain access to the site and count toward the site's total user count.

  • The default is Do not allow, so nothing changes until an administrator opts in.

Who's this for:

  • Manage: Anyone with manage site permissions.

  • Consume: All users.

Integrations and extensibility

Higher character limit in app tile data fields

Custom App Tile data fields now hold 2,048 characters, up from 512. Detailed messages, aggregated responses, and enriched payloads render in full instead of truncating. Content that approaches the limit wraps or expands rather than cutting off, and tile load performance is unchanged.

Who's this for: App managers

Profile data binding in custom app tiles

A new Profile data source in Add Dynamic Value lets tile builders bind Simpplr user profile attributes straight to tile components. Supported attributes include name, email, department, title, manager, employee ID, and location. Tiles can now show personalized, context-aware information without an extra API call to fetch basic employee data.

Who's this for: App managers

Decimal rounding in custom app tiles

Custom App Tiles now offer a rounding option for numeric values, so you can display whole numbers or set a number of decimal places. For example, 5.8745 displays as 6 at zero decimal places, or 5.87 at two. Tiles without rounding enabled behave as they do today. Rounding behavior, whether values round or truncate, is confirmed with the customer before the build.

Platform

Translation attribution and disclaimer

Readers can now tell at a glance when page content has been machine translated. The page footer names the translation provider, such as Google Translate.

Selecting the attribution opens more detail about how machine translation works, its limitations, how data is handled, and what to consider for business-critical, legal, or compliance-critical content. The experience is the same regardless of which provider your organization uses.

Who's this for: All users

Translations for custom navigation labels and footer content

Administrators can now add translations for custom navigation labels and footer content across supported languages. Organization-specific navigation and footer customizations appear in each user's language, which makes the localized experience more consistent.

Who's this for: Navigation managers

Multi-select custom field filters in the People directory

The People Directory now supports multi-select custom fields in filters, so you can search more precisely using custom profile information.

Who's this for: All users

Audiences based on language

Audience rules now support language as a targeting attribute. You can personalize content and communications based on a user's preferred language.

Who's this for: App managers

Employee Newsletter

Translations for site category, site name, and site about fields

Newsletters now carry translated values for site category, site name, and site about fields. Recipients see these fields in their preferred language, consistent with the rest of the product.

When no translation exists in the recipient's preferred language, the source language value appears instead. Manual translations for these fields apply even when content translation is turned off in Manage Application settings.

Who's this for: Newsletter managers, All users

Improved dialect support for newsletter translations

Newsletters now handle language dialects such as English (US) and English (UK) more accurately when translating and delivering content. Translations use the dialects your organization has enabled, so recipients receive the right language variation. Restricting translation to supported, enabled dialects also improves accuracy and cuts unnecessary processing.

Who's this for: Newsletter managers, All users

Recognition and rewards

Swag Store, powered by Vox

The Reward Store now carries company-branded merchandise managed by Vox alongside the CarltonOne catalog, with a single checkout and the same wallet-based points system.

Every customer gets a custom catalog, so people see only their own organization's items. Vox handles production end to end, from design and manufacturing through photography, warehousing, and shipping.

Who's this for: App managers, recognition managers, all users

Comments on recognition posts

Administrators now control whether people can comment on recognition and award posts. Under recognition settings, choose On to keep commenting as it works today, or Off to remove it. The setting applies across the organization and covers both recognition posts and award posts. There's no per-post or per-program exception.

Reactions and the posts themselves are unaffected. Only the comment action goes away. Comments are On by default, so nothing changes until an administrator switches the setting.

Mobile app

Note: All mobile app features will be available in Production only, going GA on September 8, 2026. It will not be available in Sandbox/UAT.

Company swag in the Reward Store

The Reward Store in the Simpplr mobile app now includes company-branded merchandise, so employees can browse and redeem swag alongside gift cards and charitable donations. Checkout and wallet-based rewards work the same way they do on desktop.

Bug fixes

  • Selecting the option to add a new objective and choosing Add does not add the objective to the list, and no error message appears.

  • Selecting a workspace invitation notification does not clear it. The notification stays in Pending with no way to dismiss it.

  • Saving page edits fails with "your changes haven't been saved, please try again" when an uncropped cover image in a certain format is used in the new editor.

  • Content is automatically unpublished when its publish-until date is in the past. Editing and republishing the content causes it to be unpublished again immediately, and an unexpected moderation log entry is created.

  • App managers see "It's not possible to submit pages to this site" when creating content from the home page dropdown without typing the site name.

  • Album descriptions disappear after saving a video entry in draft. Refreshing the page brings the saved description back.

  • A second user can start an edit session while another user is already editing. The first user's unsaved edits are overwritten, and that user is not redirected out of the editor.

  • Pages created in the new editor do not show the page title in the browser tab.

  • Updating a site name to all capital letters fails with a server error.

  • The year dropdown in the Publish from and Auto-unpublish date pickers stops at 2026, so dates in 2027 or later cannot be selected.

  • The German translation of "Dashboard" renders as "Armaturenbrett", the word for a car dashboard, rather than staying as "Dashboard".

  • Anchor links work on the first selection. After scrolling away and selecting the same anchor again, the page does not scroll back to the target heading.

  • Placing the cursor in a button component's hyperlink field causes the link editor popup to close.

  • Reordering carousel items by dragging appears to work, but the original order returns after refreshing the page.

  • Grid tiles holding two links in 66/33 and 60/40 section layouts do not split evenly into two columns.

  • Link items in 66/33 and 60/40 section layouts on migrated pages are distributed unevenly across columns.

  • A user does not appear in the site membership list, and site owners, site managers, and app managers cannot add that user to the site.

  • The access control group "Manage sites | All org | System" is stuck in an Out of sync state.

  • Site managers assigned through custom access control groups cannot remove audiences from site visibility settings.

  • Selecting a non-zero manager count under access control group managers opens a dialog showing zero managers instead of the list.

  • A full phrase search surfaces the expected document, while searching its common abbreviation returns incomplete results and omits that document.

  • Global search for a term in capital letters returns no results, while the same term in title case returns matches.

  • An active user is missing from search results in people tiles, global search, and the people tab.

  • Search under Manage content returns incomplete or empty results across published and unpublished content. Partial terms miss documents that contain them.

  • The app opens, loads, and immediately crashes on Android 16 devices.

  • Android users signing in to the native app get stuck on the authentication redirect screen and are returned to the Get Started screen.

  • Scanning a content QR code on Android requires two scans before the content opens, when app PIN or password security is enabled.

  • iPad users cannot open the Need Help and Events link buttons in the branded mobile app.

  • The Apps and Links section does not appear under the user profile on Android, while it appears correctly on iOS and web.

  • Inline page images render in inverted colors in the mobile app when dark mode is on.

  • Videos added to a newsletter disappear after saving as a draft and reopening it for editing.

  • In Classic Outlook on Windows, newsletter banner images and full-width sections do not expand to full width. They render left-aligned with blank space to the right.

  • The About section on a user profile fails to render and falls back to placeholder text when the description contains superscript characters.

  • The ZIP code continues to appear on people tiles in the org chart thumbnail even when ZIP code is unchecked in application settings.

  • The Apply time off tile returns "Failed to request time off. Try again after some time."

  • An event page shows Google Calendar as not syncing, and the calendar connection fails.

  • Users with connected Google Calendars cannot see events on the home tile and receive access errors.

  • The Teams app creation form is pre-filled with outdated app identifiers and fails with "App doesn't exist in the tenant" after the custom app was removed from the Microsoft Teams tenant.

  • A configured app logo does not render under Apps and Links because no image is returned for it.

  • Multiple active user records are created with duplicate employee numbers during provisioning, where the values differ only by trailing whitespace.

  • A human resources system sync fails for a group of users with an invalid field error on personal email, leaving custom email fields empty.
