Overview
App managers and Admins can now set a custom display height for embedded Power BI reports using a new Report height (px) field in the tile settings. This helps optimize how reports appear on dashboards while keeping the existing default behavior when no custom height is set.
Before you begin
This feature is available to App managers and Admins who configure Power BI app tiles.
What is new
A new Report height (px) setting is now available in the Appearance settings section of the Power BI tile configuration modal.
The display height can be set when creating a new Power BI tile or editing an existing one.
The configured height is saved with the tile and applied to the embedded report display.
The height applies to the tile experience for all users who view that tile.
If no custom height is configured, the tile continues using the default height behavior.
How it works
When adding or editing a Power BI app tile, expand the tile's appearance settings and enter a height value in pixels. After the tile is saved, Simpplr uses that value to determine the rendered height of the embedded Power BI report.
This is useful when different reports need different viewing areas. For example, a compact report may work well in a smaller frame, while a more detailed dashboard may need a taller display to reduce scrolling.

The field supports common setup and edit workflows for both new and existing Power BI tiles. The saved value persists with the tile configuration. Only valid numeric pixel values are accepted with non-numeric input and values outside the allowed range are rejected.
What to expect
No disruption to existing tiles: Existing Power BI tiles continue to function as they do today. No changes are required.
Flexible display control: Admins can tailor tile height to match the report layout and dashboard design.
Consistent viewer experience: The configured height is reflected for all users viewing that tile.
Troubleshooting
A custom report height was saved but the tile is still displaying at the default height.
What happened: The tile may not have been saved after the height value was entered, or the page may need to be refreshed for the updated configuration to reflect.
What to do: Open the tile configuration modal, confirm that a valid numeric value is entered in the Report height (px) field, and save the tile again. Refresh the dashboard after saving and check whether the updated height is now applied.
The Report height (px) field is not accepting the value being entered.
What happened: The field only accepts valid numeric input within the allowed range. Non-numeric characters and values outside the accepted range are rejected by the system.
What to do: Confirm that the value entered is a whole number in pixels and falls within the allowed range. Remove any non-numeric characters such as letters or special characters and try saving again.
The Report height (px) field is not visible in the tile configuration modal.
What happened: The field appears under the Appearance settings section of the Power BI tile configuration modal. If the Appearance settings section is collapsed, the field will not be visible.
What to do: Open the Power BI tile configuration modal and expand the Appearance settings section. The Report height (px) field should be visible there. If the field is still not visible, confirm that the account has App Manager or Admin permissions, as this setting is available only to those roles.
An existing Power BI tile stopped working after this update.
What happened: Existing Power BI tiles are not affected by this change. The configurable report height is an additive setting and does not alter the behavior of tiles that were created before this feature was introduced.
What to do: Confirm whether any changes were made to the tile configuration after the update. If the tile was edited and a non-numeric or out-of-range value was entered in the Report height (px) field, open the configuration modal, clear the field to restore default behavior, and save the tile again.
