Unified workspace view

Updated 5 days ago

Overview

The Unified workspace view gives comms team members one place to see activities and campaigns from every workspace they can access. It makes it easier to monitor work, spot overlaps, and understand communication load at a glance.

Important: The Comms agent is not yet available in the Unified workspace view for starting new conversations. Workspace-specific customizations continue to live in their individual workspaces.

Who this is for

The Unified workspace view is designed for internal comms teams, especially:

  • App managers who oversee communications activity across multiple areas.

  • Comms managers who need a quick pulse on campaign volume and coordination.

  • Team members with access to multiple workspaces who want a simpler way to monitor ongoing work.

Best fit: use the Unified workspace view when your goal is visibility and coordination across workspaces, not workspace-level setup or customization.

What the Unified workspace view is

The Unified workspace view combines visibility across multiple workspaces into a single screen. Instead of switching between separate workspaces to understand what is in progress, comms team members can review activities and campaigns together in one consolidated view.

This helps teams answer common operational questions faster, such as:

  • What communications are currently in flight across the organization?

  • Where are campaigns clustered or overlapping?

  • How heavy is the current communication load?

  • What needs attention without opening each workspace one by one?

What you can do in the Unified workspace view

From the Unified workspace view, you can:

  • See activities across all workspaces you have access to.

  • See campaigns across all accessible workspaces.

  • Review work in one place to understand overall communication volume.

  • Track progress without manually moving between workspaces.

  • Get an at-a-glance understanding of where effort is concentrated.

The view is especially useful for:

  • Daily monitoring

  • Cross-team coordination

  • Load balancing

It is less suited for:

  • Starting new Comms Agent conversations

  • Managing workspace-specific custom settings

  • Doing configuration work across workspaces from one place

Current limitations and expected behavior

The Unified workspace view is focused on visibility. A few capabilities still remain tied to individual workspaces.

  • Comms Agent is unavailable here. You cannot use the Unified workspace view to start new conversations with the Comms Agent.

  • Customizations stay local. Any workspace-specific customizations continue to live inside the individual workspace where they were created or managed.

  • Access-based visibility. You will only see activities and campaigns from workspaces you already have access to.

Keep in mind: If you are looking for a customization, configuration, or workspace-specific setup, go directly to that workspace rather than the Unified workspace view.

Why the Unified workspace view matters

For comms teams working across multiple business areas, jumping between workspaces can make it harder to understand the full communications picture. The Unified workspace view reduces that friction by centralizing visibility.

Key benefits include:

  • Faster oversight: see activity across workspaces in one place.

  • Better coordination: identify overlapping campaigns and timing conflicts more easily.

  • Improved workload awareness: gauge communication load at a glance.

  • Less context switching: spend less time navigating between workspaces.

Recommended ways to use it

Start your day here. Use the Unified workspace view as a quick daily snapshot of active activities and campaigns.

Check for communication congestion. Review the overall mix of work to identify periods of heavy messaging or overlapping initiatives.

Coordinate before launching. Use the broader view to align with other teams and reduce the risk of competing communications.

Drill into individual workspaces when needed. When you need to manage settings, customizations, or workspace-specific workflows, open the relevant workspace directly.

Good practice: Treat the Unified workspace view as your central monitoring layer, then move into individual workspaces for detailed setup and execution tasks.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Which workspaces show up in the Unified workspace view?

Ans: You can see activities and campaigns from every workspace you have access to. If you do not have access to a workspace, its content will not appear in the Unified workspace view.

Q: Can I start Comms Agent conversations from the Unified workspace view?

Ans: No. The Comms Agent is not yet available in the Unified workspace view for starting new conversations.

Q: Where do I manage workspace customizations?

Ans: Customizations remain in their individual workspaces. To view or manage them, open the relevant workspace directly.

Q: Can I configure workspaces from the Unified workspace view?

Ans: No. The Unified workspace view is primarily for consolidated visibility across workspaces. Individual workspaces are still where workspace-specific configuration and customization live.
