Highspot - overview

Updated 2 seconds ago

Introduction

The Highspot connector allows Simpplr Enterprise Search to index your Highspot content, making it easily discoverable and searchable directly within Simpplr, alongside all other configured sources.

Highspot is a sales enablement platform where teams store playbooks, pitch decks, PDFs, SmartPages, and related collateral inside Spots (workspaces). With this connector, you can:

  • Search Highspot Spots and Items — including playbooks, decks, PDFs, and SmartPages — without leaving Simpplr

  • Find approved sales enablement content by title and extracted text alongside other connected sources

  • Search Highspot with permissions enforced — when Spot-level permissions are enabled (user impersonation + document-level security), otherwise results are limited to Spots the api key user has access to in Highspot

  • Search results and AI-generated summaries from Highspot appear alongside all other connected sources in Simpplr.

Filters

Filter

Description

Document age

Applies to: Items · Enabled by default: configurable (limits indexing by content date)

Spot include / exclude

Applies to: Spots, Items · Enabled by default: No (optional allowlist or denylist of Spots)

Exclude unofficial Spots

Known limitations

  • Incremental sync is not available — creates, updates, and deletions are reflected on the next full sync.

  • Without Spot-level permissions (user impersonation), crawl scope is limited to Spots visible to the API-key user, and indexed content is searchable by all Highspot-linked Enterprise Search users with connector access. Use Simpplr Audience settings to narrow who can discover this connector.

  • Pitches, analytics, and CRM-integrated Highspot features are not indexed.

  • Very large Item files above the configured content size limit: content may not be extracted; metadata can still make the Item findable by title.

  • Text within images and scanned PDFs is not extracted or searchable.

For full detail on each limitation, see Content, Sync & Limitations - Highspot.
