Starting August 10, 2026, Simpplr is rolling out a new experience for Home and Site pages called Landing pages. Your existing Home dashboard and Site dashboards will move to this new experience automatically, and your content, layouts, audience targeting, and access permissions are preserved as part of the migration.
Learn what to expect, when the migration happens for your tenant, and the actions required from end users and App managers.
With Landing pages, each group of employees can start on a page built for them. Instead of everyone sharing one Home dashboard, App managers and Landing page managers can create multiple Landing pages for specific roles, regions, business units, subsidiaries, or use cases.
Simpplr is rolling out the migration in phases to reduce risk. The migration happens on three days during the week of August 10, with a one-day pause between them to check for and fix any issues before continuing.
August 10, 2026: Migration of all EU, CA, and AU tenants
August 11, 2026: Monitoring pause. Simpplr uses this day to check for any issues and apply fixes before continuing.
August 12, 2026: Migration of the first half of US tenants
August 13, 2026: Migration of the remaining US tenants
Your organization migrates on one of these days. We will send a communication to you on the UAT release date (August 3, 2026) and a reminder email on August 6, 2026, to inform you of the landing page deployment date in your production environment.
Nothing. The migration is fully automatic and requires no action from end users.
Your Home page still opens when you navigate to /home or click the Home icon. The tiles, carousel, feed, and any segment-specific content you already see remain in place. The underlying layout now uses a more flexible Grid stack-based design, which allows richer page arrangements to be introduced over time.
If your organization uses segments, you continue to see the version of Home that matches your audience.
The following continue to work exactly as before:
The /home URL and your site dashboard URLs
Any bookmarks you have saved
Your Home feed and Site feeds
Your existing tiles, carousels, and other Home page content
Reach out to your App manager or your organization's Simpplr administrator.
The migration itself is fully automated and requires no manual intervention. However, there are a few things to be aware of and check before, during, and after the migration.
Confirm which day your tenant is scheduled to migrate using the timeline above and the Landing page migration plan. If you own internal communications for your organization, consider sending a short note to your users letting them know Landing pages is rolling out and that no action is required from them.
You do not need to make any changes to your existing Home dashboard or Site dashboards. The migration preserves your existing configuration as is.
The migration runs in the background, so your organization continues working with minimal disruption. You do not need to be online or actively monitoring during the migration.
Take a few minutes to check that Landing pages are set up correctly for your organization:
In Landing page management, confirm that your Home landing page appears as expected, as well as any additional Landing pages created for segment audiences.
Review a few Site landing pages to confirm that each active or deactivated site with an existing dashboard now has a matching Site landing page.
Also note two changes to where things live in the admin interface:
Segment personalization for Landing pages is now managed in Landing page management by segment audience. It is no longer controlled in Application settings > Segments > Segment personalization.
Access control for Home no longer has a Home dashboard entry. Users who previously had manage home permission through the Home dashboard Access control group have the same access through the new Home landing page Access control group.
The migration keeps your existing setup intact. Simpplr preserves:
Content on your Home dashboard and Site dashboards
Tiles, feeds, and carousel configurations
Audience targeting and access permissions
Existing URLs, including /home and site dashboard URLs
Your teams gain the flexibility of the new Grid stack layout without losing the experience they had. You do not need to recreate any pages, layouts, or content manually.
Simpplr enables Landing pages through an automated migration that runs in three stages.
Simpplr moves existing Home dashboard access permissions to Landing pages so users keep the same access after migration. This includes App manager access permissions.
Specifically, Simpplr:
Removes the Home dashboard entry from Access control
Creates a new Home landing page Access control group
Moves all users who previously had manage home permission through the Home dashboard Access control group to the new Landing page Access control group
Simpplr looks at your existing dashboard configuration and converts it into the new Landing pages model. The migration covers:
Dashboard layouts
Tile configurations
Carousel configuration
Feed configuration
Audience targeting and segmentation
Any system-generated Landing pages required for the new experience
For Site dashboards, Simpplr migrates every site that has an existing dashboard, including deactivated sites, so they are ready if reactivated later. Sites without an existing dashboard are skipped. The Home dashboard entry is removed from Segments, and user-controlled Home dashboard settings in Governance are preserved.
Once the migration completes successfully, Simpplr automatically turns on Landing pages for your organization. Landing pages then become the default experience for both Home and Site dashboards.
Use these tables to understand how each part of the existing Home and Site dashboard experience maps to the new Landing pages experience. This is useful if you need to explain a specific change to your organization or check an unexpected setup after migration.
Existing experience | After migration |
|---|---|
Single Home dashboard | Simpplr creates a Home landing page, managed through Landing page management. The All org audience is associated with the landing page. |
Multiple Home dashboards for different audiences (Segment) | Simpplr creates a separate Home landing page for each segment audience. Segment audience targeting is preserved automatically. This applies to segment-aware tenants, where each segment audience maps to its own landing page. |
Home dashboard Access control group | The Home dashboard Access control group moves to a Landing pages Access control group. Existing Home dashboard Access control groups for segments also move to Landing pages Access control groups. |
Home path (/home) URL | The /home URL automatically redirects users to the first Landing page they have access to, based on audience and page ordering. Audience-specific landing pages receive their own unique paths. |
Full-width carousel | Converts into separate sections for the carousel and the remaining page content, giving greater layout flexibility. |
Non-full-width carousel | Moves into a single section containing the carousel, feed, and tiles to preserve the existing experience. |
Fixed dashboard layouts | Move to the new flexible Grid stack layout. |
Home feed | The Home feed remains available after migration. You can add it to a single landing page, place it on multiple landing pages, or dedicate a landing page to it. |
App manager or user-controlled Home dashboard | Landing pages support both App manager or Landing page manager controlled sections and user-controlled sections on the same landing page. The setting is no longer all-or-nothing. |
Segment personalization for Home dashboard | Now managed in Landing page management by segment audience. No longer controlled in Application settings > Segments > Segment personalization. |
Existing experience | After migration |
|---|---|
Site dashboard | Moves to a Site landing page using the Grid stack layout. |
Fixed layout templates | Move to the flexible Grid stack layout while keeping the existing arrangement as close to the original as possible. |
Site dashboard managed from the site | Site landing pages continue to be managed within the site. They do not appear in global Landing page management. |
One Site dashboard per site | Simpplr creates one Site landing page for each site. |
Site feed displayed on the dashboard or as a separate tab | Existing behavior is preserved. If the feed is not placed on the landing page, Simpplr automatically creates a dedicated Feed page. |
Site URL (/site/{siteSlug}/dashboard) | Existing URLs remain unchanged. |
If you or your users notice something unexpected after migration, work through these common scenarios before opening a support ticket.
What happened: During migration, Simpplr creates a Site landing page for every site that had an existing Site dashboard configuration, including deactivated sites. Sites that did not have a dashboard configured before migration are skipped and do not receive a Site landing page.
What to do: Confirm that the site had an existing Site dashboard configuration before its migration date. If the site did have a dashboard and still does not have a Site landing page after your tenant's migration is complete, contact your Simpplr Customer success manager.
What happened: During migration, Simpplr removes the Home dashboard entry from Access control and creates a new Home landing page Access control group. All users who previously had manage home permission through the Home dashboard Access control group are mapped to the new group automatically. In rare cases, a user may not be mapped correctly.
What to do: In Access control, confirm that the Home landing page Access control group exists and that the user is a member of it. If the user is missing from the group, add them manually.
