Simpplr Data Backup FAQ

Users will not need to take any action, as Simpplr data is automatically backed up. Below are some frequently asked questions regarding backups.

Q: How often is my org's intranet backed up?

A: All intranet environments backed up everyday. 

Q: How long are backups retained for?

A: Backups are kept for 7 days.

Q: Are version histories included in these backups?

A: Yes, everything is captured in the backup. 

Q: If my organization has a partnership with a third party who reviews our backups to ensure compliance, could they be given access to the backups of our intranet so they can validate we have them and can restore from them?

A: Unlike in Simpplr Classic, customers do not have to manage their own backups in Simpplr One. Simpplr manages the backups and is responsible for recovery/restoration in case of any disaster. The backups are not accessible/sharable with customers. 

Q: Is there a way for us to back up data ourselves in the event that we need more than is currently available?

A: The backups are not currently accessible/sharable with customers.
