ABAC: How to send a content notification by audience

Overview

Audience Based Access Control (ABAC) provides the flexibility to enable highly targeted content, communications and access controls.

In this article, we provide an overview on how to send a content notification using ABAC to restrict the message to a specific audience. This capability empowers content creators to control content visibility by assigning relevant audiences.

Who is this for: App managers, site owners, site managers, site content managers, any user who has access to create content in that site

What are content notifications?

Content notifications are customizable in-app and push messages designed to promote specific content. With ABAC, these notifications can be targeted to specific audiences. This article explains how to send content notifications to a chosen audience, offering the flexibility to customize the message or use a default option.

  3. Select the site you would like to publish your content to.
  4. Fill out the necessary fields.
  5. Click Save or Publish.

Step 2: Once published:

  1. Click on the ellipsis (...) button and select Send notification
  2. Select the audience, or sub-audience, you would like to receive the notification.

  1. Include a custom or default message for email, in-app and mobile notifications.
  2. Click Promote.

Best practices and recommendations

  • Use clear and concise language in your notification messages to ensure your audience understands the content's purpose.
