Hotjar integration with Simpplr

Simpplr offers a native integration with HotJar, a user analytics platforms that tracks user actions/behavior/ trends/engagement on a site.

Integrating HotJar

1. From the HotJar portal, create a new Organization and Site for Simpplr and link it with your Simpplr site.

2. After the site is create click of install tracking code.

3. After that click on Install with a npm package.

4. Copy the siteId and version.

5. From the Simpplr portal, head to Manage > Application > Integrations > Analytics & Embeds > HotJar, and enter the HotJar SiteId, Version and whether to enable user context in session tracking. Click on Save after filling the details.

6. In User context we send User’s first name, last name, email and employee number as context to HotJar.

7. On HotJar portal click on Verify installation, it should get verified successfully.

8. On HotJar enable session tracking and user attributes for the site.

9. HotJar is successfully integrated with Simpplr on completion of these steps, it should automatically record and capture sessions according to sampling rate and publish on HotJar dashboard and portal.
