Analytics

File analytics at app level

Accessing file analytics at the application level gives you clear visibility into how natively hosted files are being used across your platform, so you can truly understand what’s resonating with your users. By surfacing file-level engagement insights, it helps you see not just what’s being accessed, but how it’s being consumed. Whether you’re managing an app or analyzing performance, this addition makes it easier to make informed, data-driven decisions that improve both content and user experience.

Note that this feature does not account for files hosted on 3rd party platforms like Google Drive or SharePoint, only natively hosted files on your intranet.

Content

SEO & Branding: Your intranet name in title tag
We’ve improved SEO and branding by dynamically displaying your intranet’s name in the head title tag. This means when your intranet appears in search results, your own brand is highlighted instead of the Simpplr platform. The result is better discoverability, stronger brand consistency, and increased user trust. This enhancement is supported for customers using configured custom domains.

Last updated date in content carousel
To provide greater clarity, the content carousel now shows both the original published date and the most recent edited date. This makes it easier for employees to understand when content was last updated and stay confident that they’re viewing the latest information. This feature is available on web for now. Mobile view will be supported later.

Enterprise and Global search

Hybrid search for smarter results
We’ve enabled hybrid search, combining keyword and semantic search for more accurate retrieval and ranking. This upgrade marks a big step forward in adapting to evolving search behavior from simple one-word searches to long-tail and question-based queries helping users find exactly what they need, faster.

Extended ingestion filtering for Google Drive
App managers now have more control over content ingestion with the ability to include specific files or folders at the connector level for Google Drive. This makes it easier to manage what content flows into the intranet and ensures only the most relevant information is surfaced.

Send emails with localized custom subject lines

App managers can now create personalized, on-brand, and localized email subject lines. No more generic “take a look” messages. Notifications are now sharper, more relevant, and more likely to capture attention in the inbox.

Configurable social links on profile

Users now have the ability to control both the visibility and edit permissions of social link fields on user profiles. This means organizations can decide which social links such as LinkedIn, Instagram, or Facebook are displayed and whether users can edit them. The update helps maintain consistency with company preferences while preventing unwanted or irrelevant personal links from appearing on profiles.

Integrations

Two-way sync with Outlook

We’re introducing robust two-way syncing between Simpplr and Outlook, taking event collaboration to a new level for users who rely on Outlook calendars:

  • Real-time synchronization: Events created or updated in the Intranet instantly reflect in connected Outlook calendars and vice versa. Attendees can RSVP directly from Outlook, and responses are updated in the Intranet in the real time.
  • Flexible connection management: Authors and site members can link their Outlook accounts during event creation or anytime afterward. Participation updates automatically if users join or leave sites.
  • Comprehensive update coverage: Event details like title, date/time, location, and description sync both ways. Disabling sync or removing connections cleans up events in Outlook as needed.
  • Easy event management: Delete or unpublish an event in Simpplr, and it will be automatically removed from all attendees’ Outlook calendars (for upcoming events).
  • Pre-requisite: Outlook calendar must be enabled at the app level for event sync to work.

This ensures consistent event schedules across Simpplr and Outlook, streamlining management and preventing errors.

Reconnect & change user for Confluence and ServiceNow

Managing integration credentials is now easier and more secure.

  • Seamless reconnection: If a Confluence or ServiceNow integration disconnects due to an expired refresh token, admins can simply reconnect, no need to fully disconnect or risk user disruption.
  • Change user with minimal disruption: Admins can smoothly switch the connected account for these integrations, making personnel or access changes simple without breaking the integration.
  • Improved security & continuity: New API flags now surface connection status, while streamlined OAuth flows handle reconnections and account changes keeping integrations secure and up to date.

Tag component in tile builder

Bring more clarity and customization to your dashboards with the new Tag component in tile builder. You can now add default text-only tags such as “HR” or “Q2” to any tile, with the option to include tooltips for additional context. Tags can be entered directly as text or powered by dynamic API-driven values, giving you flexibility in how you represent data.

The component also supports advanced customization for greater visual clarity. API text values can be mapped to custom styles such as color, bold, or italics, making it easy to highlight distinctions like “High,” “Medium,” and “Low.” You can assign colors to specific status values like “Critical” or “Resolved” for instant visibility, with built-in fallback mapping and validation to ensure unique text-color combinations. For even richer visuals, you can map API values to icons, whether from the built-in library, a URL, or an uploaded file. Icons are supported at 20×20 pixels with rule-based mappings and a required default fallback.

To make the experience seamless, all tag types are easy to configure with intuitive editing tools. Accessible validation, live previews, and persistent mappings ensure that your setup remains consistent, even when switching between configurations. This provides teams with a flexible, reliable way to add meaningful context to dashboards while maintaining clarity and consistency.

AI tile builder for Display tile

We’ve introduced a new GenAI-powered tile designer that makes dashboard creation faster and more intuitive. You can now simply describe the tile you want in natural language, such as “Show all open JIRA issues as a bar chart,” and AI will automatically generate the correct visualization. With one click, you can confirm the suggested setup to instantly create and preview your display tile, with fields, permissions, and data bindings already configured.

The AI canvas also handles context intelligently by inferring query structure, app selection, and display type, which significantly reduces setup effort. Every AI-generated configuration is automatically versioned, allowing you to undo or roll back changes at any time. This update reduces tile creation time to just a few minutes, helping teams work more efficiently and driving greater adoption of self-service dashboards.

Special features

Employee Newsletter

Honor system branding font in Newsletter

Newsletters will now automatically use the brand font set in your Simpplr platform settings. No action is required from app managers, as the chosen brand font will seamlessly reflect across the Newsletter editor, templates, themes, previews, and even the thumbnail images in the newsletter listing.

This enhancement brings newsletters into closer alignment with your company’s branding, ensuring a more consistent visual identity. However, font rendering may vary depending on the email client. While newsletters opened within the Intranet on web or mobile will display the branding font, emails viewed in external clients may fall back to a default supported font. This feature is available for all users.

Delete confirmation for draft Newsletter

When deleting a newsletter in draft state, users will now see a warning message before the action is completed. Since draft deletion is non-reversible, this serves as an extra safeguard to confirm user intent and prevent accidental deletions. Once a draft is successfully deleted, a confirmation toast message will appear to notify the user.

Sender filter on Newsletter listing screen

A new Sender filter has been introduced on the newsletter listing page to be used by the Newsletter managers. This filter lets users organize and view newsletters by their “from address,” making it easier to manage communications.

This is particularly useful in scenarios where specific types of newsletters are sent from dedicated addresses the given scenario for example, CEO updates may come from one address, while weekly newsletters are sent from another. By applying the sender filter, managers can quickly locate and work with the right newsletters without confusion.
