Previously, Simpplr used to display standard "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" links in the footer. Now, administrators have the flexibility to customize these links directly within the system. This means you can show your organization's specific policies without needing technical changes or contacting support.
To ensure legal protection for both your organization and our platform, a one-time acknowledgement is required. This confirms that your organization already has a signed Master Service Agreement (MSA) or an equivalent legal document in place.
What you can do
- Display Control:
- You can easily turn each link on or off using a simple checkbox.
- By default, both links are displayed.
- Custom Labels & Web Addresses:
- You have the option to provide your own text for the link (the "label").
- You can specify the web address (URL) where the link will direct users.
- One Time Legal Confirmation:
- The very first time an administrator hides or customizes either of these links, a pop-up window will appear.
- This window will ask you to confirm that a signed Master Service Agreement (MSA) is on file.
- You will need to click "I agree" in this pop-up.
- After this initial confirmation, you will not see this prompt again for future changes.
- Immediate Updates:
- Any changes you make to these settings take effect instantly.
- There is no waiting period or need for external intervention.
Use case
Many organizations prefer to host their own legal documents or have specific requirements about which links are displayed. This feature helps remove any branding inconsistencies and addresses common compliance requirements, all while maintaining necessary legal safeguards.
How to use this feature
- Navigate to Manage application > Setup > Governance.
- For each link ("Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy"):
- To Display/Hide: Keep the "Display" option on to show the link, or turn it off to hide it.
- To Customize: Select the "Custom" option to enter your new link text (label) and the web address (URL).
- Important: The first time you make a change, a pop-up window will appear. Please read the information, click "I agree," and then click "Confirm." Future changes will not require this step.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
