Release Process and Schedule

Please use the following as a guide for the Simpplr release process and timing of each release.

Feature Release Process

Simpplr monthly releases are pushed on the GA release date (per schedule below) and are automatically pushed by our release management team. Releases may contain feature updates and bug fixes as identified by our Release Notes. Each release will be pushed from 8:30PM - 12:30AM PST the night before the scheduled GA date with no expected downtime. 

Note that these are our planned updates and do not take into consideration the need for additional hotfixes which are pushed automatically once the hotfix is ready. These will be marked in our Release Notes as well. 

Sandbox Release Process

Sandboxes will be automatically pushed by our release management team 1-2 weeks before the GA date of the feature release (per schedule below). Releases may contain feature updates and bug fixes. Each release will be pushed from 8:30PM - 12:30AM PST the night before the scheduled Sandbox upgrade date with no expected downtime. Learn more about Sandboxes here. 

Weekly Bug Fixes Process

The release team will push out weekly bug fixes automatically to your instance which are published in this article. We do not send out communications for weekly bug fixes, but expect a weekly release pushed out from 8:30PM - 12:30AM PST the night before each Monday morning release date. There should not be any downtime from this weekly release.  

Feature Release Communication

We will send two communications (one to notify of the upcoming release and one to declare the release GA. The second notice will contain a link to the release notes). Contact your CSM if you are not receiving the release notifications, and we will make sure you get them. 

We don't send a communication when the release is finished for your instance. We simply send a notification on GA date. Additionally, there is no expected downtime for any release.
